The Mountain Learning Network (MLN) has established a comprehensive web-based infrastructure to support the promotion, enrollment and collection of fees for classes, workshops and seminars sponsored by other organizations.
There are three tiers of service MLN can provide your organization.
Basic -
Listing of event in the MLN weekly newspaper display ad:
The MLN purchases a 4x4 display ad in the Steamboat Pilot/Today each week. Your event will be listed along with other MLN events that are being promoted that week. In addition, ads will have a call to action that encourages individuals to visit the MLN website for more information on your event.
Listing of event on the MLN web site:
This listing will include details describing your event. This listing has great flexibility to include text, photos, graphics, etc.
On-Line Event Registration -
End the telephone "tag game". Individuals can get information about your event and sign-up for the event on-line anytime. You will be able to track your registrations through the MLN system. You will receive a passcode that enables you to view real-time registrations for your event. In addition, an email reminder notice is sent to individual participants who have registered on-line via the MLN system 72 to 48 hours prior to event start. This simple reminder notice means that your event will be assured of a higher participation level. (If your event has a registration fee, see below.)
Basic/Plus = All of the services listed in Basic plus the following:
Newsletter Promotion -
The MLN uses an enhanced HTML email based newsletter that is distributed monthly to individuals who have registered for any type of event via the MLN system during the prior 12 months. Specific reference to your event, with your accompanied web links, will be included in the newsletter.
Web site banner promotion of the event-
The event will receive banner promotion on the MLN home page as a featured event.
Premium Promotion = All of the services listed in Basic and Basic/Plus and the following:
Targeted/Customized Newsletter Promotion -
The MLN has the ability to develop a targeted customized newsletter or announcements which are emailed to your email database. With this email, detailed statistics are provided to the sponsor. These include:
·A listing of the invalid email addresses
·How many valid email addresses received the newsletter.
·How many individuals that received the newsletter opened it.
·Of those that opened the email how many selected a web link for more information.
Development of event specific press releases -
The MLN will prepare a press release specifically for the event and give it to local media:
Radio Stations:
·KBCR
·KFMU
·KIDN
·KRMR
·KUNC (non-profits only)
Newspapers:

·Hayden Valley Press
·Craig Daily Press
§The Local
§Moffat County Morning News

Registration Fee Collection -
MLN can collect and process event registration fees via a credit/debit card. Collected fees are forwarded to event sponsor less a $3.00 processing charge per each registration within five business days following the event.
